XL Uncapping Punch Roller

The XL Uncapping Punch Roller speeds up honey harvesting by punching openings in wax cappings instead of slicing them off. The 6.5 inch roller is sized for deep frames and built from stainless steel and food-grade plastic, creating a pathway for honey to drain during extraction while preserving more wax.

At a glance

• Type: Uncapping punch roller
• Size: 6.5 inches, sized for deep Langstroth frames
• Method: Punches holes in cappings rather than cutting
• Material: Stainless steel and food-grade plastic
• Wax: Opens cells without slicing off cappings
• Extraction: Holes let honey drain during spinning

Best for

• Faster uncapping before extraction
• Deep frame honey harvesting
• Preserving more wax structure
• Beekeepers wanting less mess than knives

How to use

Roll the punch over each side of a capped frame so the tines pierce the wax cappings, opening the cells without removing the wax. Then place the frame in your extractor; the punched holes let the honey spin out.
