How to grow

Sow 1/2 to 1 inch deep in full sun, in single rows or solid-seeded wide-row blocks, spacing plants 2 to 4 inches apart. Provide a sturdy trellis for the long vines and keep the bed weed-free with adequate moisture. Plant in spring, summer, or fall.

Caution: all lima bean blooms drop in hot weather. Plant in cooler, protected areas or time plantings so they bloom at the start of cooler weather.
